Waterstone’s Bookseller’s Choice

Just a quick update. Today I received an email from Julie, Queen of Tor UK, telling me that I can go public with this: The paperback of Nights of Villjamur has been chosen as Waterstone’s SFF Bookseller’s Choice for the month of June.

This is fantastic news, because it means the book will be displayed very prominently across the entire chain (along with some discounting and point of sale), as their lead fantasy title. Waterstone’s is pretty much the last major book chain in the UK now, so it means the book will be in prime positioning for a huge chunk of the SFF market.

A whole month of Villjamur goodness across the land! Hopefully I’ll grab a photo when there are displays, because you know I love my little indulgences from time to time.

In other news, I couldn’t help but smile at noticing Brynd has found his appropriate online niche at last.

Pimp that book :) Hope the marketing push grabs you some new fans in the casual reader department.

The selfish side of me fears this may result in a longer queue at Forbidden Planet next month…

I thought the paperback wasn’t out until June?

It isn’t – which is why it’s Bookseller’s Choice, for the release month…
