It’s yet another good addition to the slew of 80s revivals with a naughties twist. I’m listening to Wolfmother at the moment – another band of such re-invention, although they really aren’t hiding their love for Led Zeppelin (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). Have you checked out “Black Mountain”? They are also unabashed Zeppelin fans, especially “In the future”. A soundtrack to a fantasy film yet to be released there. Ah, named after “Black Mountain Side”. Haven’t listened to them much, no – I’ll give it a go. I remember that the Kings of Leon’s first efforts were unashamedly Zep-influenced. Do I mention my Led Zep tattoo here? News to me. Maybe there ought to be now? Definitely worth a listen if you don’t see it as sacrilige when people pay Zeppelin “homage”. I’ve the Zoso symbol across one shoulder! I used to be precious about the Zep, in that teenage way that you hate anyone else being into the same band you are… More mellow now. Comments are closed.
