I’ll be at Fantasycon this weekend. I’m on a panel on Sunday at 10-10.45am entitled “New kids on the block”, which I’ll assume has everything to do with the boyband. Watch out for as many song references as possible if you’re there. Other than that, by schedule is as follows:
I’ll also be making my way down to Camber Sands for the mighty SFX Weekender gig in February 2010. (Main website.) It’s the first year of this event, so I’m not sure what to expect, but it’s by the sea, in winter, so how could I resist?
Let’s hope the people attending don’t assume that it’s all to do with the boyband or there will be a rabid gang of disappointed thirty-somethings at your throat.
There’s a mob of people I know debating the SFX weekender. I’m a bit unsure, maybe I’ll see if SFX have any competitions for a free ticket. Credit crunch and all 😉
I can sell a book to a rabid mob.
You should do it. Not sure how big it’ll be yet, but it’ll certainly be an interesting event.
You could always Photoshop the “new kids on the block” group onto the bottom of the NOV cover and pass it off as a dark biography charting the group from their split to their reunion. Like you keep telling us, characters on the cover help shift units!
Yeah, as a rabid 30 something I do not think the boyband ref is going to get me foaming at the mouth. Disapointed I will miss the panel though. Still, might catch you at the bar tomorrow.
