I had no idea you were a fan of Remedios Varo – a wonderful artist.
Yes, I’m quite a fan. I love the Mexican surrealists – though I suppose technically, Varo was Spanish-Mexican having been born in Spain. I’m not sure if she was a Mexican citizen.
Here’s an interesting (though I like the original by Varo better) variation or homage to Varo’s Spiral Transit, by Enrique Chavarria (1927-1998):
In any regard, Remedios Varo along with Alfred Kubin remain two of my favourite surrealist artists. Together with the work of Giovanni Battista Piranesi they have been the backdrop to my literary efforts over the past year.

That is an interesting link, thanks. I’m not hugely familiar with Surrealist art, outside of the usual DalĂ stuff (visited the museum in Spain, which was fascinating), but I am very much drawn to Varo’s work.
