Well, it seems to have slipped out across the internet, as picked up by Pat.
Apologies for the size of the image, but this is the only one out there at the moment. And I don’t think it’s all that final – this was based on a draft I saw a while ago, and if you look carefully, the MiĆ©ville blurb (which you can see to the right) is weirdly rearranged for this cover, which I flagged to the guys at Random House and so it should be fixed soon. I’ll see if I can get an updated image soon.
Still, what’s interesting about this is that it’s a riff on the original UK artwork, though updated for the American market, and comes with HUGE letters – at no extra cost.

I love this! I always like a good flame-ridden atmosphere on the front.
It grabs people’s attention more if there is action or something quite mysterious.
Very nice Mark,
I like this one – though it’s hard to give a final opinion with a lack of close up detail.

Very nice indeed.
Let me know when the US version is released and I’ll get those lovely people at BSC Review to place my review back at the top of the queue.
Thanks for the comments, chaps.
I’ll hassle for an updated cover ASAP.
Phillip – should be end of June 2011 that it hits the shelves in the US.
That’s not a bad cover, to be honest. It’s very sun-colored, though, which might work in your favor, what with everything so dark these days…
I like how this cover fits in with the US edition of the first book. Very, very nice, though the giant letters are a bit alarming.
