More fantasy art, this time from Andreas Rocha. He uses a more painterly style than tends to be in vogue these digital days, but I particularly like the use of light in his pictures. Also, as with the others I’ve featured recently, there’s a good eye for an untold story, too.

Beautiful. He seems to really have an (eye? mind?) for scenes which aren’t just visually arresting, but pivotal story moments too.

Hi Tom – yeah, that quality, for me, really makes a fantasy artist something special.
Definitely, there’s something about the projection of narrative through the image that lends an extra dimension to the escapism. It doesn’t just transport you to a world, but to a life and to a drama.
I totally love the angels of treason image too.
Aww, he doesn’t have a print store. Some very nice pieces, especially the third one you posted.
