A lovely time of year in the garden. The crabapple tree is in bloom, alliums are about to explode, strawberries (pictured with borage companion seedlings) are roaring away, and everything else has recovered from the winter. Planted cabbage, cauliflower, got some runner beans going. We’ve also planted loads of night scented seeds, since I have an exquisitely mad idea to attract bats to the garden (via moths, who like the night scented stuff). I’m heartened to see lots of bees in the garden, too, since their population decline has been worrying scientists (if you can plant some bee-friendly seeds, then please do).
