Tintin Trailer

As a child I was a big fan Tintin. He seemed to be that ambiguous age at which younger kids could look up to, without them being patronised (and I was too young to even notice the casual – and not so casual racism of its time). I loved the narrative, the exotic locations, and the sophistication of the story – classic adventure stuff that would fire the imagination.

I’m not against the whole 3D animation for the new film – I am not one of those who fear change. Indeed, some of the scenes do seem to maintain that whole pre-WW2, semi-noir vibe that can be found in much of the Tintin stories and cartoons. Hell, I might even be a little excited.
