Those of you who are a particular age will appreciate this one… It also contains some of my favourite lyrics. The 1990s seem a long way away all of a sudden.

Counting Crows – Round Here

I feel so old. This was one of the first CDs I owned.
You can remember that far back?! That said, I remember my first cassette tape. Pretty sure it was Michael Jackson’s Bad. I was very young at the time.
Oh I love this track. We used to play this album in the 6th form block endlessly. 🙂
I love Counting Crows.
This is my partner’s favourite band EVER to this date. He’s been to all his concerts in Europe (I’ve been to the one in London a couple of years ago), has all the CDS and all the videos and of course, i get to hear it all by osmosis. Round Here is one of my faves (as is Anna Begins).
Man, I remember when this came out. Played it so many times I probably know the lyrics word for word. Thanks for the flashback. And for making me feel old!
I knew there were loads of you out there…
Ana – that is also a fine tune!
Bands don’t write lyrics like this anymore. Neither do they, according to their newer releases.
I’m also a huge R.E.M. fan for the same reasons.
Heh, that’s a good point (though was never that into REM).
