29Apr Manifold Valley & Thor’s Cave Posted by: Mark Newton in art & photography 4 Comments While most of the country was watching the royal wedding, I thought I’d head out early to the Peak District. The place was exquisitely vacant.
Oooh. Not sure I like the idea of you going to live in some cave in the Peak District. Are you going to be spending your days wanking and feasting on the bones of innocent backpackers? Or would that be too much of a busman’s holiday? 😉
Is that what a modern caveman might do? It’s all right, there’s broadband in the cave, and a chippy in the next village, which neither confirms nor denies your assertions.
Beautiful pictures – seems like it was a good way to spend the morning.
Thanks, Darren – yes, I couldn’t have picked a better day for it really. Empty lanes, few cars on the way there – it’ll rarely be that quiet again.
